A LITTLE ABOUT US

RETURNING GARDENING TO

IT'S SIMPLICITY

Ecological Landscapes is a specialty landscape design company focused on sustainable designs and installations using native plants.  Our mandate is to ensure our clientele has access to concepts and native plants that in conventional gardening practices, are often widely ignored or in short supply.  We are interested in native species that bring value to each landscape and its care.  We aim to ensure a high-quality supply of services and products for our valued customers.

OUR MISSION

We strive to design environmentally oriented landscapes that increase biodiversity and limit negative ecological impacts.

We sustainably produce and introduce native plants to support ecosystems.

FROM LAB TO FIELD,  BIO AND HISTORY  of the FOUNDER

After 22 years in pharmaceuticals, Annie decided to leave the research field in 2018.   With a honours BSc in biology from Concordia University, Annie decided that returning to school would serve her before following her true passion. She first delved into horticulture, then design followed by design management and finally, organic vegetable production.

Her certificate in landscaping operations was achieved with a mention of excellence at the New Frontiers School Board ., a landscape design certificate (with distinction) at the University of Guelph, and most recently obtained a degree (AEC) in "Production Maraîchère Biologique" (Organic vegetable production) from  Cégep Victoriaville .

An environmentalist first and foremost, Annie's hobbies include beekeeping and she is an avid bird watcher.

She seeks inspiration based on the science of ecology and her love of nature.  She treats each challenge individually and does not profess to have the answers to everything so those who work with her know the science will come forward with practical solutions and applications.

Annie has well grounded, on-hand experience, an elegant and friendly personality, and looks forward to hearing from you.
